Can “Dark data” also refer to the general public? Some people have loads of “dark data” stored on their computer that were never used or forgotten, or simply refused to dispose of due to the large amount they would need to comb through. I’m picturing an inbox that has been flooded with an overwhelming amount of spam that seems to never get smaller no matter how many delete. So it’s put off each day as it continues to accumulate and get lost in a mountain of ads and other stuff.
